ISAN and IYA

Please post your ideas for IYA 100 HOURS of Astronomy and ISAN 2009. We really need to get started on planning this - the LARGEST astronomy event EVER!

What I forgot in the email update

I was contacted by the club in Vienna and when I try to respond to the email, it keeps bouncing back. Please send me a better email address.

Website Updated for Results

I've added a message board to post results this year. I don't know how good it will work, but I think it might be better than the map for results. I don't actually know how to design websites or write code so I have to find these web tools that I can cut/paste.

I wish all of you clear skies this Saturday night and once again, THANK YOU! I have been so impressed with the amount of work that you guys have done in such a short time. I've gotten so many cool posters, flyers, etc and am completely impressed by how you've done such a great job of promoting this event locally and globally.

So - Congratulations !

Email LIst

There is a place on the website to join our email list, please do so. There is also a place to send comments, please do not send your email address to me there. Sending a comment does not sign you up for the email list.

Please only send emails to me in English, you can use the computer to translate and I'll probably understand most of it, but I don't have time to translate them all.

We still need more amateurs out with scopes on May 19, so please try to recruit more!

ISAN DVD?

I had a suggestion today to make a dvd of the event. If everyone would send video clips, we could put them on a dvd. Let me know what you think of the idea. I had originally thought of a booklet with photos and articles from everyone who went out on the street, but a dvd could work too.

Also, the guys in Sao Paulo do pod casts of their events and if any of you know how to do that, and think that is something we should try to do, let me know and I'll learn how to do that.

Any other ideas?
